DOPE Marketing alternatives for contractors
DOPE Marketing made automated direct mail a category for home-service contractors: CRM triggers, radius campaigns, and an in-house print floor. If you are looking for an alternative, it is usually for one of three reasons: the subscription, the one-template-per-campaign creative, or the attribution. Here is how six options compare on each.

What DOPE does well, and where people look elsewhere
DOPE Marketing (DOPE 360) was founded in 2018 in Eagan, Minnesota, prints in its own facility, and pairs a template library with CRM automations and radius mailing it calls the Neighborhood Blitz. It also offers EDDM and yard signs, and its targeting filters include permit history. Those are real advantages, and for a contractor mailing more than about 5,000 cards a month its per-card price can come out ahead.
The reasons contractors look for an alternative are consistent. DOPE's plans start at $250 a month on its own pages, before the cost of the mail, its Terms of Use impose a 90-day minimum commitment, and pricing is otherwise behind a sales call. Creative is one template per campaign; personalization is limited to merge fields and per-recipient QR codes. And reporting is a matchback report rather than a per-card path from scan to closed deal.
Six alternatives
Mailr
Pay per card, no subscription. Every Home Render card shows the recipient's own house with your work rendered on it; every QR opens a page about that house. CRM triggers across 12 home-service CRMs, radius and map campaigns, and attribution from scan to closed deal plus geo matchback. Roofing and permanent lighting renders live; Classic cards for any trade. No EDDM, no permit filters.
Best for multi-channelSendJim
Postcards, handwritten cards, letters, gifts, ringless voicemail, and texts from one platform, with the broadest CRM catalog in the category (34 named integrations plus Zapier). Plans at $99, $299, and $599 a month plus credits; a 14-day trial. Personalization is mail-merge; its own FAQ says US only.
PostcardMania
A large print-and-mail house with roofing and contractor template libraries, mailing-list targeting, EDDM, and campaign management with results tracking. Pricing on consultation; strongest when you want a team to run a large campaign for you rather than software that runs off your CRM.
Wise Pelican
Self-serve roofing and home-service postcards from about $1.04 a card with free standard shipping and no minimum, a map-based list builder for canvassing around a job or a storm area, and same-day printing for orders before noon Pacific. No CRM triggers or attribution advertised.
Mail Shark
Roofing-focused direct mail with aerial imagery and AI to target by roof condition and material, weekly neighborhood programs, and radius mailings with postcard magnets. Integrates with JobNimbus and ServiceTitan. Pricing and terms on request.
Postalytics
Direct mail automation built around HubSpot, with Zapier to other systems, personalized URLs and QR tracking, and data written back to the CRM. General-purpose rather than contractor-specific; no home-service radius or trigger templates advertised.
How to choose
- If the subscription and the 90-day commitment are the problem: Mailr (per card, no contract) or Wise Pelican (per order).
- If you want each card to be about the recipient's house: Mailr is the only option on this list that renders the home.
- If you need texts, voicemail, or gifts alongside mail: SendJim.
- If you want a team to run a large campaign: PostcardMania or Mail Shark.
- If you mail more than about 5,000 cards a month and want EDDM or permit filters: DOPE may still be the right answer.
DOPE Marketing alternatives: common questions
Is there a DOPE Marketing alternative without a monthly subscription?
Mailr charges per card with no subscription, no contract, and no minimum: Home Render postcards $1.35 down to $1.05 per card with monthly volume, Classic $1.20 down to $0.90, with printing, postage, landing pages, and tracking included. DOPE's entry plan is $250 a month with a 90-day minimum commitment under its Terms of Use, so the first three months cost $750 before any mail. Wise Pelican sells per order without a subscription.
Which alternative personalizes beyond a name and address?
Mailr renders each recipient's own home with your work on it, on the card and on the landing page behind the QR. The other vendors on this list personalize with merge fields (name, street) or ship one design per campaign.
Does DOPE Marketing have a free trial?
Not advertised; DOPE offers a demo through a sales call and free design credits for attending a live training. SendJim advertises a 14-day trial. Mailr is self-serve with prepaid credits and no contract.
Which alternatives integrate with roofing CRMs?
Mailr connects natively to AccuLynx, JobNimbus, RoofLink, Leap, JobTread, and ProLine, plus six other home-service CRMs. SendJim lists 34 integrations. Mail Shark integrates with JobNimbus and ServiceTitan.
