SendJim alternatives for home-service businesses
SendJim is the multi-channel option in contractor marketing: postcards, handwritten cards, gifts, voicemail drops, and texts, connected to more CRMs than anyone else in the category. Contractors look for an alternative when they want mail alone done better, when the monthly plan plus credits adds up, or when merge-field personalization is not enough. Six options, compared on those.

What SendJim does well, and where people look elsewhere
SendJim's strengths are breadth and reach: 34 named CRM integrations plus Zapier, an API, and webhooks; a channel list that goes well beyond mail; a Predictive Targeting data product on its top plan; and a 14-day trial with no contract. If your marketing plan is a sequence of a postcard, a text, and a voicemail, SendJim is built for exactly that.
The reasons to look elsewhere are also clear. Plans run $99, $299, and $599 a month, and mail is paid on top in credits, so a 4×6 postcard lands around $0.88 to $1.74 depending on the plan, with credits expiring after twelve months. Personalization is mail-merge macros: a name, a street, "we just serviced a home near you." Its own FAQ says the service is US only. And the reporting is not a per-card path from scan to closed revenue.
Six alternatives
Mailr
Mail only, done to the card. Pay per card with no subscription; every Home Render card shows the recipient's own house with your work on it, every QR opens a page about that house, and attribution runs from scan to closed deal with geo matchback. 12 native home-service CRMs. Roofing and permanent lighting renders live; Classic cards for any trade. No texts, voicemail, gifts, or handwritten cards.
Best for in-house print and EDDMDOPE Marketing
CRM-triggered postcards, radius campaigns, EDDM, yard signs, and door hangers from a 40,000 square foot in-house facility. Plans from $250 a month on its own pages with a 90-day minimum commitment in its Terms of Use, otherwise sales-call pricing. One template per campaign; permit-history filters and volume pricing are its edge.
PostcardMania
A large print-and-mail house with contractor template libraries, list targeting, EDDM, campaign management, and results tracking. Pricing on consultation. For contractors who want a team rather than software.
Wise Pelican
Self-serve home-service postcards from about $1.04 a card with free shipping and no minimum, a map-based list builder, and same-day printing on orders before noon Pacific. No CRM triggers or attribution advertised.
Mail Shark
Roofing direct mail targeted with aerial imagery and AI by roof condition, weekly neighborhood programs, and radius mailings with postcard magnets. JobNimbus and ServiceTitan integrations. Pricing on request.
Postalytics
Direct mail automation around HubSpot with Zapier to the rest, personalized URLs and QR tracking, and CRM write-back. General-purpose rather than contractor-specific.
How to choose
- If the plan plus credits is the problem: Mailr (per card, no plan) or Wise Pelican (per order).
- If the card should show the recipient's own house: Mailr.
- If you still need texts and voicemail alongside mail: stay on SendJim, or pair a mail-only tool with your CRM's own texting.
- If you want EDDM or yard signs from the same vendor: DOPE Marketing.
- If you want a team to run it: PostcardMania or Mail Shark.
SendJim alternatives: common questions
Is there a SendJim alternative with no monthly plan?
Mailr charges per card with no subscription, contract, or minimum: Home Render postcards $1.35 down to $1.05 per card with monthly volume, Classic $1.20 down to $0.90, everything included. Wise Pelican sells per order.
Which alternative goes beyond mail-merge personalization?
Mailr renders each recipient's own home with your work installed, on the card and on the landing page behind the QR. The others on this list use merge fields or one design per campaign.
Does Mailr do texts or ringless voicemail like SendJim?
No. Mailr is direct mail only: postcards, landing pages, CRM triggers, and attribution. If multi-channel sequences are essential, SendJim remains the option built for them.
Do SendJim credits expire?
SendJim's support documentation says credits expire after twelve months. Mailr's prepaid credits also expire twelve months after purchase; the difference is that Mailr has no monthly plan pushing an allowance you did not choose.
